Overview & Guidelines - Parent Managed

Updated over a week ago

This overview is to give parents and junior creators a clear understanding of how we think of Junior Creators, protections we feel are important, and other safeguards. As a reminder the Community Guidelines apply to ALL platform users including Junior Creators, so parents should read those guidelines in detail as well as our Terms of Service (TOS) and Privacy Policy. Over time we may add additional guidelines.

What is a Junior Channel?

A Junior Channel is a Parent-run and managed subscription community of a junior content creator or social media influencer under 18 years old. Junior Channels are activated and able to accept subscriptions and transact only after a member of the BrandArmy staff has directly met with one or both parents of the creator - no exceptions.

Parent(s) of creators with Junior Channels are required to manage and run the channel. Junior Channels are not to be run by the junior creator themselves.

Identification Policy

Junior Channel creators and their parent(s) will provide identification. Driver license, state identification card, or a valid passport are acceptable. International passports are acceptable.

We want to be thorough in how we think of a safe place for younger creators. We think having an official identification from both the junior creator and parent(s) is the best basis to start from. Presenting any doctored or manufactured proof of identification is cause for immediate removal of a creator. We do not save your identification information provided.

Parent Managed on Channel

Each Junior Channel must include ‘Parent Managed’ somewhere in the ‘About’ section of the creator’s profile. All subscribers should know publicly that all Junior Channels are first and foremost, parent-managed.

Unacceptable Content

Prohibited & Subject to Immediate Removal from BrandArmy:

  • Any fetish (photo, video, PDF, audio) content or textual copy

  • Nudity

  • Lingerie

  • Twerking videos

  • Emojis: 🍆, 💦, 🌶, 🍑, 🐰, 🥵, 😈

  • Captions and Direct Message words used must be mainstream and not flirtatious or sexual or teasing in context or nature

  • Any content or language, both written and verbal, that is sexually suggestive or could be perceived as sexually suggestive or is deemed suggestive by BrandArmy staff

  • Microbikinis

  • G-strings, thongs or thong bikinis

  • Showing underboob

  • Dancing on livestream for tips

  • 100% bikini/swimwear content - must have a 50/50 mix of swimwear/non-swimwear content. This is NOT a bikinis-only platform for teenagers. If that’s the only content you want to post, this platform is not the right fit for you. Situational swimwear content (ex: at a bonfire with friends) versus just standing/modeling for photos specifically to be sold are very different things. We do not expect an exactly followed ratio but we do expect it’s always kept close.

  • Playboy branding on clothing or in a video or photo

  • Posed for photos or video in a bed

Unsure of a certain type of content or post? Please text us if you have the number of someone on the team or email us at [email protected] and include the imagery or content that’s in question. Please give up to 72 hours for a response.

Monthly check-ins

We require the parent of a Junior Channel creator to check-in once per month with their BrandArmy contact. We want to know that the parents are continuing to manage and monitor their child’s Junior Channel. We also want to know if there’s anything we can do to help support their channel and see if there are areas in which we can improve. If you’re a parent and are unsure or forgot who your contact is at BrandArmy for your monthly check-in, please email us at [email protected] with your channel name and we’ll be sure to connect you.

Junior Channel Moderation - Parental & Company & Community

There are two main areas for channel moderation of Junior Channels - parental and platform. We expect parents to be fully aware of all activity on their child’s channel, and therefore fully responsible for all interactions and content on their child’s channel. In addition, BrandArmy will also provide moderation and review when content or behavior that is brought to our attention. BrandArmy will also review content from refunds, fraud claims, and chargebacks as well as periodic daily spot-checking of all platform content. Sometimes subscribers will let us know if there is content we should review as well.

AI Moderation is used for all uploaded content/media, as well as for all textual communications such as captions and direct messages.

Blocking

Parents can block a subscriber for any reason. The parent is the boss on a junior channel, and is able to run their channel with respect to blocking as they see fit. In addition, if BrandArmy identifies any harassment, bullying or inappropriate comments or direct messages from a subscriber, we will remove those comments and/or messages and remove the subscriber from BrandArmy as we see fit. The BrandArmy experience for a Junior Channel should be fun, positive, and supportive. Anything else is not wanted or tolerated.
