Going live is an amazing way to engage with your community in real-time!

Starting your Livestream

  1. Select ‘Go Live’

  2. Add your caption text to describe what your Live session is about. This text will be seen whether it’s a free or paid livestream.

Examples:

  • GRWM for my magazine shoot

  • New home tour 🏡 It’s finally finished and you get to see first!!

  • Exclusive Q&A… as open as I’ve ever been 🙈

  1. Select by switching ‘on’ the subscription Feeds you want to go live for

  2. Enter in a Purchase Price that subscribers on each subscription feed will have to pay to join the livestream

    • For subs on a subscription feed to join the live for free (included with their subscription), leave the Purchase Price blank or put ‘0’

  3. Hit the ‘Go Live’ button

  4. Allow “brandarmy.com” to access your camera and microphone

  5. Preview screen will show. This will allow you to check your lighting and anything else needed before you’re officially live!

  6. Hit ‘Start Stream’ when you’re ready! This will trigger notifications to your subscribers to let them know that your livestream has started.

  7. Wait to see your subscribers join your livestream. The ‘eye’ icon is the counter to show how many current live viewers there are.

Ending Your Livestream

  1. When you’re ready to end the live, hit ‘End’ at the top right of your screen

  2. Select ‘Yes’ to confirm that you want to end your livestream, or ‘back’ if you want to continue

  3. ‘Livestream has ended’ screen will show. Here you’ll see a summary of your livestream stats including number of likes, comments and total tips/donations received.

  4. You have the option to ‘Save’ or ‘Delete’ your livestream

  • If you opt to ‘Save’, it will process and appear as a video post on your selected feed(s) you went live for. Please allow 5-60 mins depending on your stream length.

  • If you opt to ‘Delete’, your livestream will not be shown on any feeds and any subscribers that didn’t join will not be able to watch it later

Things to Know for Going Live

  • ‘Eye’ icon is the counter to show how many current live viewers there are

  • ‘Heart’ icon shows how many have ‘liked’ your livestream

  • ‘Pause’ icon will turn your camera off/on

  • ‘Microphone’ icon will mute/unmute your audio

  • ‘Rotation’ icon will flip your camera on mobile

  • All live viewers can comment and see the comment section

  • Subscribers can send tips/donations during your livestream by hitting a ‘$’ icon by their comment box and entering in the amount they want to send. You’ll receive a live notification when you receive a tip/donation that will show the username of the sub that sent it and the amount they sent.

Livestream Pro-tips and Best Practices

  • Let your subscribers know the date and time you plan to go live via a media or text post so they can be sure they’re logged in and ready!

  • This is a perfect time to promote your community on your social media by announcing that you’re doing an exclusive live only for community subscribers. This way they can make sure to subscribe beforehand so they don’t miss your livestream!

  • For the highest quality livestream, make sure to be connected to good wifi.

  • Great lighting makes for great visuals!
