Pro-tips for Creating a Feed Subscription
Be as clear as possible when writing the description for each Feed. Let your audience and potential subscribers know what exactly they can expect from subscribing! Bullet points are always a clean and simple way to list out the benefits.
Deliver! Be sure to provide the content and benefits you listed in the description, especially if it’s a paid subscription!
Custom Welcome DM
We highly recommend to create a custom Welcome DM for each subscription feed. This is a great opporunity to capture immediate engagement from a new subscriber! Once a user subscribes to a feed, they will instantly receive this Welcome DM in their inbox on-platform. Include a CTA (call-to-action) and set the tone for what your subscribers can expect from joining this subscription.
Utilize this Welcome DM to reinforce benefits provided by the feed for new subscribers, similar to what you might include with your Welcome Email (see below). You can also send content (photos and/or videos) with your Welcome DM with the option to paywall it. You’ll also notice you can add a cover photo (see below) with the Welcome DM so your subs can get an idea of what you’re offering for purchase.
Custom Welcome DM Content Ideas:
Include a video you’ve created where you’re thanking them for subscribing, and give them an idea of what they can expect by being part of your community and joining this subscription!
We've seen many find success promoting that this is the only time the subscriber will be able to purchase this specific paywalled content.
Please note: if the subscriber purchases the content in your paywalled Welcome DM, the unlocked content will be available both in their DM thread with you as well as in their Vault.
